The navigation system is one of the most critical components of an Autonomous Floor Scrubber Dryer Robot. It directly impacts the robot’s efficiency, cleaning performance, and ability to operate safely in various environments. Here’s  how it influences the functionality of BERSI automatic clean robots:

Single-line laser radar: mainly used for mapping, positioning, and perception. It uses a rotational scanning method to perceive obstacles within a large range (20m~40m) around the plane where the sensor is located. The perception capability is limited to one plane.

Depth camera: A three-dimensional depth information sensor, mainly used to measure the depth distance information of obstacles within a range of about 3 to 4 meters in front of the sensor. Compared with LiDAR, the sensing range is shorter, but the sensing range is three-dimensional, and the resolution is relatively high, which can better detect the three-dimensional contour information of obstacles.

Solid-state linear array laser radar: mainly used to sense low obstacles (higher than 2 cm) at a close distance (within 0.3 m) around the machine.

Monocular: The main function is to scan the code, scan the code to build a map, scan the code to start the task, and identify the QR code on the pile to match the pile.

Ultrasound: Its main function is to sense surrounding obstacles, mainly to make up for obstacles that cannot be detected by lidar and depth cameras, such as glass. Because these two types of sensors sense obstacles by reflecting light, translucent obstacles such as glass may not be detected.

Collision sensor: used to sense when the machine collides.Detect and avoid obstacles, preventing collisions and ensuring safe operation.
