The Cologne Hardware and Tools Fair has long been regarded as a premier event in the industry, serving as a platform for professionals and enthusiasts alike to explore the latest advancements in hardware and tools. In 2024, the fair once again brought together leading manufacturers, innovators, and experts from around the world to showcase their products and exchange ideas. From tools and accessories to building and DIY supplies, fittings, fixings and fastening technology, the Cologne Hardware and Tools Fair 2024 did not disappoint.
Bersi’s model AC150H, which is a wet and dry HEPA vacuum with our innovated auto clean system, is designed for power tools that requires continuous working. So our team decided to participate this international hardware fair to seek new business opportunities. We stayed 5 days in Cologne from 3 to 6 March 2024. And it is our first time to be there.
A notable observation at this year’s fair was the significant presence of Chinese exhibitors,comprising approximately two-third of the total exhibitor base.This trend reflects the growing influence of China in the global hardware market and underscores the importance of staying abreast of developments in this dynamic landscape. Despite their significant presence, many Chinese exhibitors voiced dissatisfaction with the show’s outcomes, citing factors such as low foot traffic, limited engagement opportunities, and insufficient ROI.
In the last day of the show, we saw very little visitors in the hall.
For us, one of the highlights of EISENWARENMESSE was the chance to reconnect with cooperated customers and strengthen existing relationships. Face-to-face interactions provided an invaluable opportunity to gain feedback, address concerns, and showcase our latest offerings.
We meet some of our cooperating distributors during the exhibition, it was our first time see each other although we have doing business together many years.These successful meetings served as a reminder of the importance of cultivating long-term partnerships built on trust, reliability, and mutual success. It was a great opportunity to help us know each other more and better.
Throughout our interactions with cooperated customers at EISENWARENMESSE, a recurring theme emerged: the prevailing economic slowdown in Europe. Many customers expressed concerns about sluggish growth, uncertain market conditions, and reduced consumer spending. These challenges have impacted businesses across various sectors, including the hardware industry, prompting industry players to adopt strategic measures to navigate through turbulent waters.
